Default Fiberglass Roof

Went through a search on the fiberglass roof and found nothing current. I saw that DRV changed how they are making or installing the roof and want to know if anyone has had any leaking or separation? Does anyone have an approximate weight on a fiberglass roof? Probably a year out from ordering a new coach but have to start looking. MS is high on my priority list but want to see what the new Escalades look like when/if they come out.

Hopefully things have changed, but I don't like my 2007. The trailer flex seems to pull the seams apart (middle seam and end caps) In addition mine developed cracks in the fiberglas surface. Been back to Indiana twice (2008 & 2009) to have the cracks sealed by the fiberglas manufacturer. Cracks have redeveloped.

we have an 08 ms and had the fiberglass roof placed in lieu of the rubber roof. we owned a unit with a fiberglass roof before the suite and we did not have any problems with that roof or the ms so far. one rubber roof replacement pays for the difference in cost.

We have a 08 MS and got the fibreglass roof as a option because I did not want to deal with a rubber roof after all the problems I had with one on our previous Travel Supreme. The only problem we have experienced is the middle seam was not sealed correctly and we had to have it resealed using euro-bond tape (under warranty) and so far no leaks.

Same here. Also DT put the antenna mount right in the seam. I had a big leak because of the movement of the antenna.

So far, I am liking the fiberglass roof over the previous rubber one I had. I was up on the roof the other day and it still looks like new.

We have had no problems at all with our 2009 MS 38RLSB3 fiberglass roof.

Thanks for all of the replies and I will keep lurking around here. I am on here everyday wishing there were more posts than what there is. I am pretty sure we will get the MS with the fiberglass roof but like I said that is about 1 year out. KZ and their Escalade seems to be a little slow on getting off the ground so I will quit looking there putting DRV as the front runner.

The only negatives we've found with Fiberglass roofs (this is our 2nd Suite with one) is they add some weight. But since our 38' has a GVWR of 20k, it's a non-issue. Our empty weight on CoO was 16,195.

Default Fiberglass Roof Option Cost

I do not see the Fiberglass Roof as a listed option on the 2010 price sheet. What does DRV charge to put the fiberglass roof on the Mobile Suites?
